HIGH HORSEPOWER

On the road, these cars would likely be heard, or even felt, long before they are seen.  The first true muscle car, the 1957 Chevy, produced just 162 HP.  Today, stock vehicles can be found with more than 800 HP.  Technology and ingenuity, such as forced induction, tuning, and other tricks, have pushed engines to ever-increasing horsepower, with today’s high performance builds topping 2000 HP.
