Mopar, a mashup of the words “Motor” and “Parts,” was first used by Chrysler in the 1920s and became a brand (for antifreeze) in 1937. Mopar produces OEM equipment for all Chrysler brands – Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth, Ram, Imperial, DeSoto, Jeep, and AMC – and has become synonymous with those brands.
